Ernest Hemingway once said,
“Worry a little bit every day and in a lifetime you will lose a couple of years.
If something is wrong, fix it if you can.
But train yourself not to worry:
Worry never fixes anything.”
Ernie’s totally right. God totally has my life in His hands and has no intention of allowing me to be cast hungry and naked into the streets. To prove this, He’s given me the wonderful opportunity to make a little extra money for the next two weeks.
Ross’s parents are taking a much needed vacation to bella Italia, and with all the gardening they do, someone’s got to water all their plants every day. This year, that someone is me. For two (whole) hours I will be a slave to the water hose – then the rest of the day is mine. I anticipate the two weeks being full of walking the lil pup, job hunting and resume pushing, journaling, blogging of course, reading, getting my life organized, and by golly, maybe a little relaxation outside in my bathing suit.
I’m really excited about this time – because did I mention that I’ll have the luxury of living in Wilsieland for those two weeks?? It’ll be like my own private villa getaway in the mountains. Yes, Ross and I will have to be creative about how we’ll get to see each other, but in the end this will be beneficial for both of us. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, eh?
So get ready to see a lot more blogging, pictures, and funny stories about little (but getting bigger every day) Rosie Jane. If everything works to plan I’ll hopefully have a job to go to by mid June. But if not, I’ve bought myself a little time and we’ll just take the next step when it comes. God provides.
