ross and i are loading up some of the youthlings this afternoon for a weekend youth retreat in asheville, nc.  the trip is a combined one, meaning that our high schoolers and our middle schoolers will be comingled for a weekend, so pray that relationships build and tempers do not flair.  it’s supposed to be really cold this weekend, so it’ll be really interesting how to keep half a dozen middle and highschoolers entertained (not to mention the other 100 kids that will be there) inside without some sort of combustion, but i think it’s going to be an awesome time.

this is our first overnight retreat with the kids, so pray for safe travels, meaningful conversations, memorable meetings with jesus, and just a good old fashioned fun time.  we’ll be back sunday afternoon!
