we’ve had so. much. snow. this winter.
and while i haven’t been able to enjoy the perks of it like i used to (if only snow days still existed for me!), i’ve absolutely loved sitting in my office, or sometimes at home if i’m fortunate enough to work from home that day, and just watch it come down. as much as i’ve come to love spring and summer because of the garden obsession that nearly takes over my life, i just can’t make myself wish for it to be over quite yet. cold, windy, snowless winters i can do without forever, but throw some really great snowfalls into the mix and i’m totally in love. in fact, even though we won’t get much accumulation, it’s snowing right now.
now i just need to make sure i enjoy it while it’s here before it’s all gone (which, admitedly, will be awhile). ross and i have only sledded ONCE this winter, and that’s being liberal with the word “sledding” – the good news is that we scoped out a pretty fun hill nearby and i’m excited about trying it out. the last item on the snow-to-do list is building a big fat snowman, something i haven’t done in years.
so even those who are sick and tired of the snow: find something to love about it! either go out and play or stay inside with a blanket and a book – both sound really great right about now.
